The United We Stand - Flood Relief 2011 charity Cricket Match and Concert has officially raised $13,481 for the victims of the Victorian and Queensland Floods.
United We Stand is an organisation that has been put together to combine most peoples favourite things: Sport, Music and helping out the less fortunate!
Created in January 2011, United We Stand originally set about making a difference by raising money for the Victorian and Queensland Floods. After holding a successful 20/20 Cricket match and Concert on Australia Day at Yarra Bend Park, and raising $13,481 for the flood victims, it was decided that the organisation would continue to hold sporting and music events to continue to raise further funds for other worthwhile organisations.
This website is designed to make people aware of any upcoming events and to help spread the love of our very generous sponsors from past and future events.
United We Stand was chosen as the name of the organisation as it acts as a symbol of all things Australian. We always dig deep when our fellow Australians are in trouble and we have accomplished so much as a young nation by always working hard, not as individuals, but as a collective. Its what really sets us apart from the rest of the world.
